Still Working Out What it Means to Be Saved By Grace

We might be mid-life but we are still
trying to discover the depths of faith, family and how we are to be
Christ-agents in this world in which we live. We are open to explore, ponder and
discover how God will use us in this phase of our lives. We desire to refine and
adjust ourselves while we reconnect to our pasts and make this transition to the
future. It isn't really about the destination but more about the journey....We
use each of you to sharpen us and hone us to be the people that God intended for
us to be. Will you share the journey with us? We love your comments!

Rasmussen's First Visit to Chugwater

Abby's Moms
We finally got to meet Ben's parents when they came to visit and to help prepare for Abby and Ben's Wedding. We all wondered, I'm sure, how we would all last almost a month together. Abby and Ben were insistant that we share some "community" so that we could really get to know each other. Cathy told me that she thought the bridal couple had imposed on us to stay for for that length. But Abby and Ben were right... we had a great time with all of them and are gratelful for the luxury of really getting to know each other. Considering that JJ and Cathy have lived in the Philippines for the past 25 years as missionaries the likelyhood of us ever having that opportunity again is slim. It gave us a chance to break in our new home and eat lots of good food and share lots of fun around our new table! Come back any time Cathy and JJ!

JJ kept us entertained with his puns and quick wit. Cathy is as fun as a gracious lady as I have ever met. She loves others and gives sacrifically at every turn. She adores our Abby so that rates high in our estimation. Both of them love the Lord and have such sunny dispostions that they readily draw others to them. You should have heard the gals at my beauty shop rave over what a wonderful lady Cathy is.... they spread that care to everyone they meet.

We did a lot of wedding planning and shopping but we also had a great time taking them to their first Froniter Day Rodeo (The Grandaddy of them all). Heidi and Noah (Ben's sister and her son) joined us along with Ben's cousin Joesph from the Faroes. Boy- did Joesph have fun in Wyoming doning a black cowboy hat and western belt and with a big buckle before he left. Lots of special memories!

Our new Friends check out a real Wyoming Rodeo!

JJ took on some interesting wedding preparation jobs!
