Since many of our WY friends will not be making the 565 mile trip to SF this October it has been our plan to have a wedding reception in the tree patch at our ranch site while the weather is nice. This plan was in the works prior to the fire. After the fire, I still wanted to go ahead and do this but was kind of overwhelmed by the enormity of pulling something off with no running water or anything currently at the ranch. We even had to rent port-a-potties! My Mighty Moms told me I had to ask for help.... since so many of you have asked if there was anything you could do we finally took you up on that. My immediate and extended family, PEO sisters and Mighty Moms helped us make this celebration a reality!!!! This reception was complete with Alan and Lindi Kirkbride's smoked brisket (140 pounds of it!)homemade onion rolls by Mary and Raynee, the music of our friend's band "The Blue Light Special", a song sung to them by Lynn and Dan and even a toast by both brothers to the happy couple. What a fun night!!! It was 105 degrees that afternoon getting ready... praise God no one passed out getting ready!!! Here are some pics from the special day!!!
Family Shower for Tara
We started out having a "family" shower for Tara! Tara gets the coveted Kirkbride Family recipe book compiled by cousins Michelle and Rocky. It is complete with pictures from the ranch.

Cousins Anduin and Kapri enjoy the day with Tara. Anduin surprised us by flying in from North Dakota to be a part of the special event! Thank you, Anduin for honoring us so!

Tara receives her first Grandma Pat homemade treasure... in this case an apron in which to make meals to tempt Jeremy with! Grandma Pat recorded all of Tara's gifts!

The favorite Kirkbride Aunts... Dianne and Lindi

This is the whole group of us! We held the shower at my dear friend Carolie Pollock's house.... Jer's sixth grade teacher. Carolie is in the fatiques. Many second cousins on the floor.
