Dan's Platte County Commissioner Race '06

Platte County Commissioner primary election took place on August 22nd this year with Dan running with 7 other guys for two spots on the Commission. It was a wild summer of campaigning... parades, radio ads, newspaper articles, signs posted around the County and forums! Just what we needed this summer... something to liven up our existence!?!? But God smiled on Dan on August 22nd and he received the most votes.... with 189 more votes than any other candidate. The commissioner Dan served with the past four years was beaten in this strange election so the win has been a bit tainted for us....

The final election will take place in November so we have a reprive but there is still work to be done. Dan loves his position as commissioner..... he feels it is an honor to serve as an elected official and has many gifts and now the experience to make him good at this job. What a priviledge to serve!
