Here we are in our home after 15 years!Dan and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary on April the 18th this year! We can hardly believe it either! God has been so very gracious to us in helping us rebuild our lives after the losses of both of our spouses: Pam and Chuck in 1991. That was a bleak year for us and it was hard to imagine ever coming through it to a place where life could be rich and full again. We both worried a great deal about how it would affect our small children. While life will never be the same on many levels, while the influence of those two wonderful parents is still felt and their memories still very much alive, life has gone on and God was gracious enough to help us blend our families over these past 15 years. He also has blessed us with an incredible marriage!
Highlights from our anniversary included:
- Shishkabob dinner with tzadziki and hummus by Leah and Hannah
- Candelabra from Maggie and Daddo that was my Grandmother Mann's
- Cold Stone gift card from Tara and Jer
- Deep non- stick frying pan from Hannah (which we really needed)
- Mannheim Steamroller concert on the 23rd with my boyfriend...
- Dinner at the Olive Garden in the bar of all places
- An original watercolor by Don Weller, "New Generation" - gift to each other
On the night of the Mannheim Concert we came home to Charlie' s night of romance... a note road led to our room that was very clever with many funny notes informing us that he and Sully were in the basement and telling Dan to stand strong and not come and rescue him... once we got to our room there were about 6 candles burning, wine and romantic music. Char was sure to tell us that only old foggies go to bed before midnight.... Charlie- the romantic. It was very sweet and we did enjoy our evening!
After 15 years we are almost to the end of the the heavy parenting years. When we started Hannah was 11 and Charlie was barely 3. Hannah is 26 and Charlie 18 now. We have come a long way!
Who knows what the next 15 will bring?!?! Empty nest by next fall.... but, kiddos, you might be surprised... we still have a few moves left! You watch! A life where Jesus is Lord brings some great adventures.... We know that only the Lord could have knit our family together! We are grateful to God and also thank each of you for making it a great first 15!!!

Looks like life is good (even after devastating fire) as evidenced by Jeremy's wedding pics of 2006.
Would love to hear form you, but understand busy life.
