Check out the destination spot!

We have been waiting all summer for Jeremy (our oldest) son to arrive at the ranch to lend the landscaping expertise that he developed on Nantucket Island working for my cousin Phillip several years ago. While Tara worked in the house cleaning and putting my Fall decore (Yay Tara!), we went at it putting up the edging to define the flower portion of the garden and laying the flagstone walkway. My friend, Linda Anderson, consulted with me on much of this but advised to have a destination... thus our walkway leads right to a cool rock, complete with a ledge, for sitting and contemplating all that God has created.
I am thrilled with the fact that this phase is done!!! It might seem strange to get so excited but after looking out over a barren and weedy front yard for two years this is something to get excited about. A friend stopped by today and said that the front looked "so inviting". That is exactly what I was hoping for. A little grass, a few more trees and some plants and we hope you will drop by anytime of a visit in a restful spot! Thanks, Jer and Dan!!! XXOO
P.S. I had a few more pics but blogger won't upload anymore tonight.... maybe another day.

Is that Dan on his knees while doing the landscaping??? Ids that what it takes? Good job - it looks awesome! Will travel to Chug sometime and see it in person.
Miss you, my friend....thanks for the blog updates so we can see your family happenings. Glad your nest has been full again. Want to hear all about it soon. Bonnie
