Still Working Out What it Means to Be Saved By Grace

We might be mid-life but we are still
trying to discover the depths of faith, family and how we are to be
Christ-agents in this world in which we live. We are open to explore, ponder and
discover how God will use us in this phase of our lives. We desire to refine and
adjust ourselves while we reconnect to our pasts and make this transition to the
future. It isn't really about the destination but more about the journey....We
use each of you to sharpen us and hone us to be the people that God intended for
us to be. Will you share the journey with us? We love your comments!

The Fourth with the Fam

Is this 4th of July splendor or what?
So I have posted other things that have happened since the Forth... it is still July, right?

We had a great family get together over Independance Day with much of the Kirkbride family in attendance at Alan and Lindi's lovely home. It was intended partially as a send off to Hannah before her job job started in Juba, South Sudan.... but some things change..... We will be anxious to learn what else God has in store for Hannah in this next chapter of her life.

Nonetheless- it was a great day complete with wonderful picnic food including Uncle Alan's smoked brisket and Aunt Lindi's homemade ice cream! We had two young friends of Alan and Lindi's there both either from or have worked in Guinea, Africa which was cool in light of Hannah... We usually do the holiday thing with family during the cooler months so this was fun to do something in the summertime. Allan and Lindi's beautiful yard with Lindi's garden and Alan trees are a treat of the greenest kind! Thanks Lindi and Alan for sweet time together!

Here are some pictures to enjoy! Sorry- I didn't get pics of everyone who was there...

Oh, and what about Aunt Lindi's gooseberry and currant pies?
Charlie and Joel making the ice cream!
Hannah with Lindi and Alan's special guests and some the TJ's family!

Some mighty fine brothers... Taylor and Jackson!

Uncle Alan prays for us and gives thanks for the lives we lead here in the USA!

Jami and Company....

Hannah with Grandpa Ken and Angie

Some things never change!

Alan and Lindi's beautiful back DECK... did you hear that Dan?

Maggie is just too darn cute!!!

Thank you, Lord for the priviledge of living in a county that is FREE!
