Still Working Out What it Means to Be Saved By Grace

We might be mid-life but we are still
trying to discover the depths of faith, family and how we are to be
Christ-agents in this world in which we live. We are open to explore, ponder and
discover how God will use us in this phase of our lives. We desire to refine and
adjust ourselves while we reconnect to our pasts and make this transition to the
future. It isn't really about the destination but more about the journey....We
use each of you to sharpen us and hone us to be the people that God intended for
us to be. Will you share the journey with us? We love your comments!

It's Hard to Let Go!

Hannah pictured here in her Indiana Jones Shirt ready for a new Adventure!
Today is a memorable one in the lives of our KKrew family. After months of planning and a hard week of packing for her and I, Hannah has begun her journey east to Juba, South Sudan to work as a Programs Officer with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). We loved having her here and will deeply miss her these next three years. She goes on a great adventure... we are so proud of her desire and selflessness. She left us today at DIA with many tears after being home for the last seven months.

Hannah graced our little family (Dan, Charlie and me) with her love, fun, time and presence for this time. We built many memories in our new home (I think it might actually feel like home now for her)... Netflix nights, Settlers of Canan (she's a mean one) travels to Charlie's ball games, nights in the cottage, subbing at WHS with Char's friends, ranch work with Dan, walks with Sully, lots of good meals together (her always finishing the fruit, of course), ping pong with Char, a trip with me to Sheridan... to name a few. She did some great things for the town of Chugwater with her feasibility studies for the business center and on childcare. She did adult Sunday School at CVC. Basically she had time to reconnect with her small town, old friends and family.

Hannah has taught us to take time for others... to work hard to stay connected.... to listen for God in the everyday things of life and to always watch out for a good sunset.... she goes "because the love of Christ compels her."... let that speak to us all....

I believe we discussed pretty specifically that this particular picture was NOT supposed to go on your blog. Abby has already ridiculed me for it.

But it's a sweet post. Thanks.
