The Tour Guides with us
Janet's sister Lynley and Neil's Farm
The Pancake Rocks
Ian at his family farm on the West Coast
Narnia Country- near where the movie was filmedMany things in NZ are called WEE... (don't you just love it?!?!?) so this is a wee post since we have been so busy on our whirlwind tour of the South Island and it is getting late. We covered 1,800 kilometers (1,100 miles) in four days and these were not interstate miles.... they twisted and turned and made even the best of us car sick at moments. But I can safely report that not one stretch of the countryside was boring or ugly! We have never seen so consistently beautiful country in our entire lives!?!? No wonder Ian was so eager to show it off to us!!! The people we met were all so gracious to welcome us as part of their lives... we saw all kinds of farming, gold mining, family and the like. It was amazing!!! I took well over 400 photos so there will be more to come but I thought you might like a taste. Tomorrow morning we get up at 4:30 am to catch our flight to Melbourne then right on to Tasmania where we will be for three days in our exclusive accommodations. So I better get to bed but thought you might like to know that we are fine and having the time of of lives!!! Love to all!

Those pictures are stunning - especially the one of you four in front of the lake.
I've been praying for weeks for your connections to work out tomorrow, and for good weather, which it looks like you've had.
I've been here a month now! Everything's going well. Fay and I just had fish & chips for lunch - but the fish is just a little gutted thing thrown in hot oil, face and fins still intact.
Safe travels - give Ian and Janet a hug from me.
Hannah-
We made all our connections... it was a really tiring day and the plane was late. Had to pay extra for backage. You had paid for domestic travel plus my bags were a bit heavy... imagine that?!?! But we made it. Henry Jones is wonderful. Our Eco Tour was amazing. No free internet though and I could make their network work so havent been able to post. We are in an internet cafe right now before we tackle our day of driving. Tasie is lovely!!! We are having the time of our lives! Thinking of you every step of the way!!! Miss you...XXOO
